7 Bread Recipes We Love

Below we’ve gathered all the bread we love. Arguably bread is required with every meal and is certainly something impressive to make from scratch for your guests. Everyone is always amazed and truly enjoys a fresh baked loaf or roll. Here are some of our favorite recipes that we use again and again and what type of occasion we use them for.

1. Tear Apart Easy Dinner Rolls

Easy and basic dinner rolls that can be frozen and reheated for a weeknight meal or used with just about any dinner you’d serve your guests. I frequently serve them for Thanksgiving. These are great to start with if you’re just learning how to make bread.

2. Ciabatta Loaf or Rolls

Serving up an Italian meal? These are my go-to for mopping up sauce off my plate. So tasty and relatively easy as bread goes. The Kitchn provides an excellent and detailed explanation of how to make these into a huge success to pair with your Sunday sauce and meatballs or maybe even a homemade lasagna.

3. Burger Buns

Want to elevate a backyard barbecue? Another easy bread to break into…and oh so satisfying to place a big juicy burger on these. Honestly, I ate a few of them before a burger even entered the picture. Covering them in “Everything But the Bagel” seasoning makes them even more delicious.

4. Baguettes

When I traveled to Paris my only goal was to walk around the city holding a baguette. Goal was achieved and years later a new goal was to learn to make them myself. Mr Paul Hollywood of Great British Bake Off fame provided an excellent recipe to do just this. More difficult than the breads previously listed and does require some special equipment but so worth it until you can get to a Parisian bakery again.

5. The More Difficult Dinner Rolls

Two dinner rolls? Can you ever have enough? These are level 2 dinner rolls. Master the earlier recipe and then prepare for extra work to make these. They are oh so worthy of it.

6. Bread for Breakfast, Cinnamon Challah

We talked a lot about dinner bread which could really be anytime bread but here’s a breakfast bread. Great on its own, great as french toast…Cinnamon Challah is only difficult cause now you’re braiding a bread! Look at you go, now you can make bread extra pretty!

7. My Ultimate Bread (per my husband)

If I were to only make one bread (for my husband) it would be this loaf. Now that you know how to braid bread this one is super easy but does require a fair amount of attention. Goes with just about any meal and freezes beautifully to eat again and again.
