Chocolate Lava Cakes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz semi sweet chocolate
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 400 degrees F and coat two ramekins with non stick spray.
  • In a medium bowl, melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave.
  • Add the powdered sugar and whisk to combine.
  • Add both the egg and the yolk and whisk to combine.
  • In separate small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet and whisk just until combined.
  • Evenly distribute the batter between the two ramekins. Bake for 13-15 minutes until the center just looks set. It will still be uncooked in the center (lava).
  • Let sit outside the oven for 2 minutes. Run a knife around the edges and turn over onto a plate. Sprinkle additional powdered sugar over the top and serve immediately.
