Fall French Toast

Ingredients

  • zest of half an orange
  • splash of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • sprinkle of cardamom and nutmeg
  • Butter for pan
  • Maple syrup/butter for topping!

Instructions

  • Slice bread if necessary
  • Whisk milk, eggs, pumpkin pureè, splash of vanilla
  • Add orange zest and spices and mix well
  • Start griddle so it's nice and hot on the stove
  • Put some butter or coconut oil on the pan to prevent sticking
  • Dip bread into mixture and flip so both sides are coated
  • Place each piece on hot griddle until golden brown and flip so both sides have a little crisp
  • Enjoy with a little extra butter and some maple syrup!
