Maple Hot Buttered Rum
This fall cocktail is great for sitting around the bonfire and sipping a warm drink.

- 1/2 lemon
- course salt
- 4 oz apple cider
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 oz dark rum
- 1/2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Take half a lemon and rub the rim of a heat-safe glass. Roll the rim through course salt to coat.
Bring the apple cider and the vanilla extract to a low boil.
Pour dark rum into the prepared glass and then pour in the heated cider/vanilla mixture. Stir.
Top with a pat of butter (about 1/2 a tablespoon) and drizzle maple syrup over the top.
